Description: The engraving was part of series of nine engravings depicting different types of ships. This engraving depicts two Dutch East India ships, both at anchor. The name of the one in the middle, behind the starboard is 'Castricum'. In the left background a frigate, starboard side view. In the centre right is a quay with trees, and in the foreground, a jetty with several spectators, from which a rowing boat sails with passengers and a musician. Two-line caption in three columns, French, Dutch and English.
