Description: The engraving was included in the reissue of D. de Jong's Atlas van de zeehavens der Bataatsche Republiek [= Atlas of the harbours of Netherlands] published in 1802 by Johannes Allart. It depicts a view of the eastern part of Amsterdam seen from the IJ (written as "Y" in the title), a body of water in the Dutch province of North Holland. In the left foreground, is a boat with a windmill structure on its deck, perhaps a dredger. Ships sail in the foreground and the skyline of Amsterdam is in the distance. Below the image is the title in Dutch and French separated by the insignia of Amsterdam. The print is numbered 6 at the top right.
